Chris Harris is at again, this week in the Alpina B3. Its gorgeous.
I do wish it was this blue though.

I couldn't. Assuming I liked BMW's (not really), I would go insane trying to clean them. It just wouldn't work out.

Looks are a matter of opinion, but IMO cleaning them on the regular would be worth it.

God that thing is sexy, but I love it in black more. That blue is gorgeous though.

I would prefer a darker tone to them. Less White (I know, Blasphemy), more brushed Aluminum or grey. I've seen a few Alpina's near my house and while for the most part they look understated (a few are tacky.... I also live in Staten Island NY so we wont talk about them), the white just jumps at me too much. But that's me. I happen to think part of the charm of the Alpina is that you may not catch it at first. The examples you showed aren't bad. As I said, pure white is just too much.

I am not a big fan of the looks of the ordinary 3 series. But Alpina had made something plain looking, really special. I would love to own a Alpina B3, but my biggest problem with them is that they hate manual transmissions. Yes, I in one way I understand who they want to sell cars and on the other I can't. For fuck sake they put an auto in their version of the E39 M5. Still if the price is like the one Chris said, it would have been a very tempting car if I had the money.

In all honestly, blue with white rims is my favorite color combo so I'm biased.
But I can completely understand the understated appeal and wanting something more subtle when it comes to Alpina.

It sounds to me like it needs 19" wheels to really be the brilliantest.
Mind you, I checked the website and it's got 18" brakes (!), so even 19" might be tight...

I stopped the video at 2:56 and saw the caliper is all ready pretty close to the rim. Sadly don't think 19's would fit.

Bah! I'll have to hack into the electronic suspension adjust then!

This is what I saw on Staten Island... The Blue and white offers some contrast. I think it helps that the 3-series can pull off sporty. This B7 just didn't do it for me.
